Things Exist Only When They Are Known
Updated: 2008-10-13 01:27:25
Description: The great Buddhist philosophy Arya Nagarjuna proved that things aren’t “out there” waiting to be discovered. Things exist when they are known – and not until. And, conversely, we don’t exist until and unless we interact with the world. Subjects and objects exist only interdependently, which is one thing that’s meant by saying that things are “empty.”This videocast is taken from classes taught in Los Angeles in the spring of 2008.
