Filtering the World Through Our Subjective Apparatus Updated: 2009-01-12 17:13:26 Description: The appearance of things as if they existed apart from our perception of them is an illusion. Wisdom begins with honesty. We must admit that we are not and cannot be objective. Everything is filtered through our subjective perceptual apparatus, which in turn functions as it does because of our karma. By learning to treat others better, we change ourselves and therefore the world (as it exists for us) will also change. This videocast is taken from a teaching given at the Mahasukha Center, Los Angeles, in December of 2008.
