Kevin Savage's Show (December 26th 1979 - 3PM to 6PM) Updated: 2011-06-11 22:25:00 Description: Here is Capital Radio 604 on its first day of broadcasting on December 26th 1979 from 3PM tp 6PM. This was originally recorded as a snoop tape, meaning the tape recorded only while the presenter's microphone was live. Originally used to coach presenters, snoop tapes almost always captured the end of the previous song and beginning of the next song, plus many other things like jingles, drop-ins, and the start of advertisements. Adrian Horwitz (ahorwitz@lantic.net) has painstakingly reconstructed these 3 hours from the original snoop tape that has survived until today, by inserting the full songs and advertisements (when possible), where only snippets were originally captured on the snoop tape.
