Reynolds, best known for his long- running performance as police officer Abe Carver on the popular “Day's of Our Lives” Reynolds serves as the national spokesperson for more than 131,000 volunteers serving veterans at VA facilities across the nation. It hasn't yet made it into The Guinness Book of World Records, but as far as we know, James Reynolds (Mayor Abe Carver on "Days of our Lives") has logged more total hours on television than any other African-American actor in the U.S. (since 1981). Over 23 years on "Days" and another year as the Emmy nominated star of NBC's "Generations" -- averaging over a hundred hours of airtime each year -- comes to a lot of time before the camera.
